Our Buddy Slim Needs Our Help! (Fixed)

(I'm sorry for messing up the first attempt at this campaign. Most people have been refunded, with the rest within 10 business days. This campaign is set up so that Slim's sister Dana Booth will be receiving all donations and managing his bills and other expenses for him)

Hey, I'm Jake, and I've worked with my buddy Slim (Peter Betley) since 1999 or so, first at The Big Bop, where everyone knew him as the friendliest door man you wouldn't wanna mess with, and the man in charge of the kitchen at The Rockpile ever since we opened in 2010.

He's honestly one of the most solid people I've ever met.

Our buddy needs our help pretty urgently.

He's in the hospital after having emergency surgery to amputate his right lower leg. Undiagnosed diabetes is the underlying cause.

He'll be in the hospital he's in currently for the next two months recovering from surgery and managing complications. Then he's looking at 2 months minimum of in-patient rehab.

The long and the short of it is that he's looking to be off work at least 6 months.

And the bills pile up really quickly when you're sick, let alone have life-changing surgery.

He'd be the first to tell you, "Everyone's got a story," and this one is my friend's.
