Our brother needs our help to pay medical bills!

Hi, it's Camille, Mike's sister. As most of you are aware, my brother was recently in a motorcycle accident. He was air lifted to Santa Barbara hospital in California and admitted to the surgical intensive care unit. Unfortunately, some necessary surgeries have been performed and he is in great pain. He had a laminectomy, a type of back surgery, to take pressure/swelling off of his spinal nerves/spinal cord. He has also had surgery on his right arm. Currently he is unable to move his left arm or leg and is unable to turn his head from side to side. His precious wife, Nancy, is still in their home state, Georgia, attempting to find someone to dog sit their 3 dogs. As I'm sure you can imagine, the medical bills will soon be piling up.

My brother has been in recovery for many years and travels all over this country sharing his testimony and encouraging and lifting others up. He is the East Coast National Director for Broken Chains, "bikers and bike enthusiasts who have found healing in Jesus Christ through the process of Christ centered recovery, helping others to realize that change is possible". He is also the Georgia State representative for Celebrate Recovery Inside (CRI) and a ministry leader CRI at Atlanta Transitional Center. Their mission has a dual purpose. First to prepare adult male felons who are nearing the end of their incarceration to assume responsible citizenship and to maintain an on the job training work force for felons who have up to 42 months left on their sentence to operate outside details for various state agencies at no cost to taxpayers.

Mike and Nancy have many tough months ahead of them. Physical therapy will take many months and he is unable to transfer from the California hospital to his home in Atlanta. This will cause an additional stressor on finances, emotions and healing.

I am asking for prayers for my brother, who is in a great deal of pain. I'm asking for prayers for peace for he and Nancy. I am asking you to please donate any amount you can to help with their expenses.

As I was reading my devotional this morning, the author stated, "you are so precious to Me that I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands", and "Yes, this world is full of trouble, but Jesus is with me and He is in control".
