In March of 2025, our world changed when our 13-year-old daughter, Maci Lorenz, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. No child should have to face this kind of battle, but Maci is meeting it with incredible strength, courage, and her bright, loving spirit.

Maci is a vibrant, outgoing girl who loves sports and always brings a smile to the faces of those around her. She’s the kind of kid who lights up a room and never backs down from a challenge. She’s also a big sister to four siblings who adore her—and she means the world to all of us.

As we begin this journey toward healing, we’re asking for help to ease the financial burden that comes with Maci’s care. Between traveling to out-of-town medical appointments, hotel stays, and extra care and support she needs during treatment, the costs are quickly adding up. With five children, it’s hard to balance everything—and every little bit of help makes a difference.
