Hey there, my partner and I are getting close to running out of options hence why we've decided to ask you to help us. Our boy Rumble, a 9 month old Maremma x Border Collie, is super unwell!

Monday 6th of January I took Rumble to the vet for a swollen cheek, their findings were it was an abscess most likely caused by a grass seed. By Wednesday I was driving him 3 hours away for an emergency surgery as the infection had spread to behind his eye and was pushing it out.

At this vet they took a CT and were unable to find a foreign material but they drained the infection and sent us on our way with antibitoics with much optimism that it would clear up.

Then the following wednesday we brought him back to our local vet, he was not doing well. Hot, drooling, not eating, lethargic. They found all sorts on his blood tests that indicated his infection was not clearing.

Today we've been told that our only option is o go back to the emergency clinic for an exploritaty surgery to try and find the grass seed and remove it. We have been told while some are lucky and get it out on the first go, we could be signing up for multiple surgeries.

Between antibitoics, pain medication, numerous consults and the first surgery we had already racked up over $9000 and now are waiting to hear how much the next surgery will cost.

Anyone who knows me knows that I have a huge heart and my dogs are like my children. And I can't fathom saying no to helping Rumble because of a dollar sign.

But the reality is we are so depleted, financially and emotionally. These past two weeks have been beyond stressful and heart wrenching, we just want to continue to be able to do everything we can to try and help him feel better.

So we are asking for help, because we are out of options. I ask if you can spare $5, $20, anything that can help reach toward our goal so we can keep our boy happy and healthy and alive ❤️
