Sweet Duncan was taken in by Fulton County Animal Services in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. He was covered in scars, but full of love to give. My boyfriend and I couldn't help but fall for this adorable, blocky-headed boy, and we were so excited to give him a furever home on Sept. 26th. Duncan's Freedom Ride
Duncan contracted a bacterial infection as a result of his many bite wounds prior to his time in the shelter, and unfortunately this infection overtook him in the aftermath of his neutering and move to our home. He received wonderful care and attention from BluePearl Veterinary Partners - Westside. My boyfriend and I were with him, snuggled up in his bed, as he crossed the rainbow bridge late on Sept. 29th. He knew love, kindness, and safety, if only for a short time.
We are so grateful for the time we had with Duncan, and for the friends he made at LifeLine Animal Project and around the country. We believe the best way to honor his memory is to open our home to another sweet doggie in need. Your donations to Duncan's veterinary care costs will make that possible for us. We are still working out the details with BluePearl, but our total cost is estimated at $2,700. Any funds raised above our final total will be donated to LifeLine Animal Project.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. We miss you, Duncan. Happy tails, baby boy.
