Our Best Wishes to Amrit

I’m writing to share some difficult news about our colleague, Amrit Sandhu.

In April, Amrit’s partner, John, began experiencing concerning symptoms. He was transported to hospital that weekend, where he later entered a coma and was transferred to St. Michael’s Hospital for specialized care. Since then, medical evaluations have confirmed that John has suffered brain damage and will require lifelong care once he is discharged.

Many of us remember Amrit as a valued member of the Strategy, Communications, and Performance Management team here at EHRAB. Her positive, can-do attitude and outgoing energy made a lasting impact on our workplace culture. She was also an enthusiastic contributor to employee engagement and culture-building initiatives. Last year, Amrit accepted a temporary assignment in the Communications Branch.

Our thoughts are with Amrit and John during this incredibly difficult time. This GoFundMe page has been created to help provide support to Amrit and her family as they navigate the challenges ahead.
