Our Beloved Zory’s Pancreatic Cancer Battle

Funeral Funds and remaining medical expenses for our Beloved Mother and Grandmother.

Dearest Family and Friends,

It is with the heaviest hearts that we share our mother/grandmothers prognosis is nearing its end. Hospice has prepared family for the worst news to come.

After my widowed mother’s diagnosis of pancreatic cancer her healing journey began all in the hands of God to help guide us through the battle. She was very strong. After a long extensive surgery to remove the cancerous mass found in her pancreas they decided to remove it they also removed her gall bladder, spleen and 3/4 of her stomach. We received what we thought was good news after surgery that Doctors were very confident they removed all cancerous tumor. At her follow up we were told the surgery healing would be it and to consider her self cancer free. That joy would soon to be very short lived. One day she woke up short of breath and with a strong abdominal pain she couldn’t bear. She was rushed to the ER where Ct showed Cancer had came back and even more aggressively spreading to the remaining bed of pancreas and all of her abdominal wall along with too many to count small lessions on her liver. She started on her first rounds of chemo after we were released. After doing several rounds of the first line of chemotherapy we saw no improvement she wouldn’t eat. Everything made her vomit and had continuous nausea throughout her day. Her health quickly declined and lost a dramatic amount of weight. My mother became very ill again shortly after leading us back into the hospital where they told us the aggressive cancer was not responding to the first line of chemotherapy she was urgently admitted and began her second line of chemotherapy in hospital after finishing her first round of this second treatment she was released home and followed up with oncology for her following rounds of treatment. CT’s showed shrinking in tumors but she was severely underweight weighing only 84lbs, oncology discontinued further treatment because they said it was causing more harm than good and announced this was all they could do for treatment. She wasn’t eating just vomiting and constant nausea never subsided she lost her ability to walk and do things for her self she was recommended onto hospice. Heart broken in tears we left the office that day desperately trying to find help but with my mother not having insurance we were set back on recourses and could only go through the States health system. She never accepted her illness and fought very strong through the process she has had Faith like no other. she didn’t want to receive hospice as she felt she still had so much life left in her
my mother had just turned 52! She became unresponsive a few weeks later after, and was rushed the hospital only to find cancerous tumors and lesions had now spread all over her lungs, spine and around her Arorta. Cancer had took complete ownership of my mother’s body and an even worse news to come. She was released home on hospice care where she has been these last days living in constant pain no amount of morphine or fentanyl patches help with pain. With constant weight loss due to nausea and vomiting this has been a nightmare leaving her with no more strength to fight this battle. We are very grateful and thankful for all the time we have had with our mother and very proud of her courage and strength that she’s had through her illness but we were told her journey will soon end. Only a god willing miracle can save her at this point. We are devastated knowing that this beautiful human being who has been fighting for her life still has so much love to give to all of us. Even in her worse moment she has never lost faith in god. In fact it’s made her beliefs even stronger. She has been the light to our world and everything we have had left since our father’s passing. We are shattered completely.

My Widowed mother will leave behind 2 daughters and a son. Yoly, Desseny and Cris.

She is also leaving behind the loves and joy of her life 7 grandchildren. 3 boys and 4 girls who are her pride and joy.

This battle will leave our family in a great amount of medical debt and funeral expenses that we are fundraising for her. We are asking for even the smallest Donation, no donation is too small this will go to her Funeral arrangements and also to help keep her home. We don’t want to lose her home as her youngest daughter of 21 years of age still lives there along with 3 grand children.

Please keep our family in your prayers and we will need them to get through this difficult upcoming and devastating times. Thank you for taking the time to read this we greatly appreciate your love & consideration.
