Our beloved Son, brother, friend Ta'ape Nunu

To all Our Family and Friends,
We are writing this letter to let you know that our beloved son, brother, uncle, and a friend have gone home to be with the Lord. On April 28th, 2022, my brother was found in his car unconscious by the Tacoma Police Department, suffering from a bullet in the back of his head. He was then rushed to the hospital and straight into the intensive care unit, where he was put on life support. We prayed for a miracle to take place. Unfortunately, he passed away Saturday, April 30th, 2022. He was murdered and taken from us. The crime rate involving guns is at an all-time high. We are so sad that our brother is a victim of these heartless and senseless crimes, along with many others, and we are left with no answers and so many questions.

Ta'ape Nunu loved like no other. He has one of the biggest hearts. He would literally give you the shoes on his feet and the shirt off his back if you needed it. He lived life to the fullest and was a great person inside and out. He just wanted everyone to feel welcomed, to be happy, and to enjoy life. That's what he was all about. Christmas days were the funniest because he would buy all these nice gifts for his nieces and nephews, but they would be wrapped in newspaper because he didn't care much about what the outside looked like. He wanted them to get to the gift so their faces could light up. He was the favorite uncle because he spent quality time with the kids taking them to the parks, doing kickflips on the skateboards with them, and teaching them how to box and defend themselves. So many great memories are rushing back and forth as we sit here and mourn the loss of our brother. He loved his music; he loved to protect us, he loved his family, and we love and miss him dearly. Our hearts are broken as we await info, news, and phone calls that might have answers to our questions. One thing about Ta'ape Nunu that made everyone fall in love with him was that he took care of everyone else before himself. If you need to smile on a bad day, go see him. He will say or do the most random thing to make you smile again. This is just a short summary of who our brother is. He wasn't perfect, but he was our brother. He didn't deserve this. No one does, and we pray for every family who has gone through this or if you are going through it now. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We're here today humbly asking for help. We are fully aware of the situation everyone is going through with the global pandemic. Unfortunately, Our brother didn't have life insurance. This tragic event has caught everyone by surprise. We are raising funds to help prepare a nice homegoing memorial for our brother that he deserves. We know that we are not the only ones going through a tough time, but it doesn't hurt to ask. So here we are, humbly asking if you can donate any amount to help go towards Ta'ape Nunu's memorial costs; it would be greatly appreciated. No amount is too small when it comes to being a blessing. We don't have it all, but we trust that God will come through for us. We pray that the Lord blesses you in return a hundredfold. Ta'ape would say, "If can, can. If no can, try aken." One of the random things he would say in a serious moment. Lol!!!

Thank you for hearing our needs. We appreciate you all. We love you and miss you dearly, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Please continue to pray for our family as we pray for our communities to be safer.
