Almost Paradise, our cherished plant store in Berlin, is facing economic challenges and we need your help to keep our doors open.

Two years ago, we took over the shop with a passionate vision to develop the business, but due to promised investments in us (which eventually never came), running the business as we bought it has been extremely difficult. Now we are facing an imminent threat of shutting down our beautiful, women-led, small shop forever.

We probably don’t need to tell you that additionally, Berlin is experiencing rising prices of pretty much everything, rents are through the roof, even food has become a luxury - not to mention a meteoric inflation - making it hard for all of us, but especially for small businesses like ours, having to compete with massive online retailers and huge chains.

But let us reassure you: Almost Paradise is more than just a local plant shop. It is a vibrant heart in our neighborhood at Boxi, an urban jungle where one can find peace and tranquility out of the hustle and bustle of the noisy streets of Berlin, a home for all plant parents out there to fulfill their needs.

It is a place where you can find the perfect plant to brighten up your home, or colorful pieces of local design to decorate your space while supporting local artists. It is also a place where you can connect with fellow plant lovers and get all the tools and tips you need on how to make your little home jungle thrive.

Since we started sharing our struggles more publicly with our clients, we have realized that our shop has become a true community hub. The outpouring of support and suggestions from you for how to keep our store alive have already deeply touched us - beyond what we could ever imagine.

This is why we decided to launch this GoFundMe. Every euro raised will go directly to secure the future of Almost Paradise, allowing us to cover debts, growing costs, the void created by vanishing investors, and most importantly: renew our unique plant selection and continue to serve as your destination for everything green.
