Our beloved Pip's memorial bench

We are raising funds towards a memorial bench for our beloved beautiful PIP, Phillipa Smitherman, an unstoppable force of nature. She was a gentle, kind, witty, loving, entrepreneur who loved life, her son Harry very deeply, her family, friends and all of her doggies. She showed an enormous amount of courage, bravery and strength and she fought long and hard against cancer. She was taken way too soon and had so many bright plans for the future.

Pip was hugely popular and was loved by so many, and this has been represented by the sheer number of people who have reached out and expressed words. The enormity of love, courage and utter strength shown by her wonderful family is nothing less than phenomenal, especially her young son Harry, whom she leaves behind.

Pip had an endless amount of personal, academic, organisational and business accomplishments and dedicated her life to making a difference to both animals and humans alike.

Pip was a special light for us all and many described her as a safe place due to her warm and honest voice.

We are creating this page in honour of Pip’s memorial bench together with a plaque with inscription, which we would like to position within the Beverley Brook on Wimbledon Common, where she spent everyday walking her much loved second children (doggies!). A place to visit, remember and honour the love everyone has for her, the incredible work she has been a part of and the legacy she leaves behind.

Thank you Pip so very much for everything you did for us humans and doggies, you touched our hearts & souls. We all miss you terribly and our lives will never be the same without you ❤️❤️❤️

The cost of the memorial bench is £3,500, which will be paid to Wimbledon and Putney Common and any remaining funds will be given to Harry to help in this difficult time. The memorial bench will be installed within 2 months by Wimbledon Common.
