In the blessed month of Ramadan, our devoted mother, whose heart overflowed with love, compassion, and wisdom, passed away on 02/03/25 whilst fasting. She left behind a legacy that continues to inspire all who knew her. She was a woman of deep faith, unwavering dedication, and boundless love, not only for her family but to everyone who crossed her path.
Her love for teaching and knowledge seeking was unparalleled. She dedicated much of her life to education, earning a doctorate with a distinction in Tafsir, and sharing her wisdom, nurturing minds, young and old. For most of her life she taught Arabic and Quran and more recently pedagogy. Her most recent role was a supervisor in a number of Arabic schools across Manchester
But it was her love for her children, grandchildren, family and friends that truly defined her. She was a mother whose love knew no bounds, whose care was unwavering, and whose presence was a constant source of comfort. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she was their greatest support, guiding them through life with wisdom and unconditional love. She led by example and taught them the values of kindness, respect, the importance of giving back to the community, and how to live a life of purpose.
Her passion for supporting those in need was unmatched. She was always the first to offer help, whether it was with a kind word, a meal, or the resources needed to overcome a challenge. If someone was in need, she was there, ready to offer whatever she could. Her heart was as big as her faith, and her hands were always extended to help those who were struggling, regardless of their background or circumstance.
In her final days, just before she passed, she was adamant to amplify her efforts to raising money for Sudan, a cause she felt deeply passionate about. Even in her last moments, she was thinking of others, seeking to make a difference, and leaving behind a powerful example of selflessness and dedication. Her spirit of giving lives on through the work she began, and it is now up to us to carry on her mission, to help those she cared for, and to ensure her legacy of love, compassion and service continues to flourish.
In her passing, we are reminded of the profound impact one person can have on the world, and we are called to honour her memory by continuing the work she started. Let us come together, as a community, to raise the funds she sought for Sudan, to provide hope and assistance to those who are suffering, just as she would have done with all her heart.
انا لله وانا اليه راجعون
Indeed we belong to Allah and verily we shall return to him
May the mercy of Allah, the most gracious, be on our beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, friend and teacher. May Allah have mercy on her soul, make her grave spacious, furnish it with the furnishes of jannah, raise her rank and make us all a means of continuous deeds for her now that she has returned to her Lord
And seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, it is a burden except for the humble
ٱلَّذِينَ يَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُم مُّلَـٰقُوا۟ رَبِّهِمْ وَأَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ رَٰجِعُونَ
those who are certain that they will meet their Lord and to Him they will return.
Surah baqarah 45-46
May Allah grant the family all patience and steadfastness upon this calamity. May her legacy continue to inspire us to live lives full of love, generosity, and service to others
Love from her children
