Our beloved husband, father, and friend Michael abruptly passed on Saturday May 15, 2021. He was also an extraordinary mentor who touched the lives of many around him. He leaves behind is wife Denise, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Michael dedicated his life to serving his family and community for over 64 years. If you were lucky enough to know him, you are familiar with his contagious zest for life, not to mention his distinctive and unforgettable laugh. With his lifetime of experience, he generously shared his wisdom with many. In fact, you may be running his famous lectures and one liners through your mental rolodex as you're reading this now. Most people even saw him as if he was their very own Marvel Superhero...and THAT he was. Three years ago he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that spread throughout his entire body, but he never ceased to amaze us with his relentless rival against this aggressive disease. He continued to thrive through life, running marathons, working out six days a week, and closing real estate transactions as if he wasn't fighting for his life. After so many procedures, trials, and tribulations he was finally chosen for one of the newest and advanced cancer treatments. This was the phone call he had been waiting to receive for over a year. The phone call that was supposed to represent a chapter of healing and the hope we were so desperately seeking. Unfortunately, the treatment was unsuccessful and within days the sound of his heartbeat and the count of his last breaths were all we had.
Our minds echo with our last cries. The heartache is paralyzing. The tears come in ferocious waves and our hearts are shattered.
Nonetheless, realty has set in and life has reminded us that the expenses related to Michael's passing are a debt we still owe. Not only the current expenses but all of the prior expenses it took for us to guarantee one more day, one more week, one more year. So in response to all of our friends and family who have reached out to us offering love and support, we thought this would be an avenue in which we could be supported.
We do not have a specific goal in mind as the debt we owe represents the priceless moments we were gifted in memories, love, and laughter.
