Our Beloved Masjid Fund
Donation protected
Assalamu-‘Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatu Beloved Masjid Supporters. My name is Hanaa Vina McDermott and I have organized this campaign, upon request from several members of our community, to help support any expenses that may occur during our efforts, moving forward, to represent the concerns of the community of Masjid Al Mustafa and the Qur’an Institute, located in Waterbury, CT. Masjid Al Mustafa is very dear to my heart as I have supported the construction of our masjid both financially and directly through helping to paint the new construction. I have also helped our beloved Sheikh in our Sunday School and convert events as well as attend community celebrations. Over the years, Masjid Al Mustafa has grown, and we represent a very diverse religious community.
Donating to this campaign is perhaps one of the most significant contributions of support that you can make. Likewise, it is essential to push our collective cause to not only ensure that the community’s religious, educational and spiritual needs are fulfilled but to make us successful in uniting the community and establishing peace.
Funds collected in this campaign will go towards assisting with payments for an interim location for Sunday School, payments for community meeting locations, and assistance with legal fees, if applicable, as we continue to represent the concerns of our community. I will be in charge of managing all withdrawals during this campaign. All funds donated will be given directly to our interim Board of Trustees Treasurer to ensure that it is properly accounted for and funds are allotted appropriately.
Last, it cannot be overemphasized that your contributions are sadaqa jariah, meaning that all who benefit from it, from our children learning Qur’an to all efforts to establish this community and every salah performed in this Masjid to every act of charity that is even an atoms weight, that you will receive perpetual baraka/hassanat that Insha-Allah(t) will follow you long after you have left this world. That window of opportunity Insha-Allah(t) is open now.
Please make your voice heard through donating to support this cause.

"The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing. Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah and then do not follow up what they have spent with reminders [of it] or [other] injury will have their reward with their Lord, and there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.“ (Surah al Baqarah:261-262)
