Our buddy Joe has passed away.
He lived a short life on Earth but he will live on forever in our memories.
Funeral expenses are quite high and this tragic, unexpected loss puts a great strain on his family's financial situation.
Joe leaves behind a beautiful wife and gorgeous 12 year old daughter from a previous marriage.
His Mom and Dad are devastated along with his loving sister, brother in law, and two nieces.
Joe's family are proud, hard working people that would greatly appreciate your kindness.

1) my relationship to the beneficial parties.
Well, Joe is my non-blood brother from another Mother since 11 years old. More importantly he is a member of a loving family and friend to hundreds of other fine people from his childhood to the present day. The intended recipients of this collection will be Hanley Funeral Home and Resurrection Cemetery and hopefully some money to seed a college fund for his 12 year old daughter, Mikayla......because our friend Joe would love that!
2) A detailed explanation of how the funds will be spent....? Well if you have ever had the unfortunate experience of planning a funeral you'd know that it's ridiculously expensive.
So the largest portion goes to the cemetery and the second largest to the funeral home.
Any remaining money we'd like to set up a college fund for Joe's daughter.
3) and the best one yet... how will I ensure the money reaches the intended recipients....?
Clearly GoFundMe doesn't know me or the type of people we are. Ok so the plan is to reimburse the check that Joe's sister wrote for the cemetery and to pay the Funeral Home in cash and then to hopefully have an excess to put into a college fund for Mikayla.
So, there you have it GoFundMe. Now please release the funds so we can do what we need to do.
