Unfortunately we lost our brother and beloved friend Danny Guerra today at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Fourteen days ago Danny was admitted to perform an angioplasty procedure to unclog an artery in his neck. During the operation, doctors believe a piece of plaque broke off and traveled to his brain, causing a stroke. He was then moved to Neuro ICU where he was monitored and stabilized. The purpose was to get him strong and well so they could ascertain any effects of the stroke.
After 6 days, Danny developed pneumonia and serious lung infection. From there, things progressed down hill. He finally became "Septic" 72 hours ago and was taken up by our Lord at 3pm today.
We all knew Danny as a kind soul and loving man! Although he worried about many things, his faith was strong as was his will to LIVE and travel the world.
At this time, we need help covering his funeral and burial costs. Danny did not have any living family members and St. Martha Parish and others became "his" family that he loved and treasured.
We kindly ask for any help you can give. If you can't give money, please send prayers for the repose of Danny's soul.
On behalf of The Palma Family and all his friends, we appreciate your generosity and love for our departed brother.
Details will follow soon for mass and funeral arrangements.
