Our Beloved Mom, Christine Lost To Cancer

Our beloved mother, Christine has sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer. We are the MacHarry family, here to tell her story.

Christine, our mom, was an angel who was compassionate, kind, selfless, free-spirited, and tenacious. She led a purposeful life and aimed to spread happiness to everyone she encountered. Any room she entered would be filled with the joy of her presence. Our mom encouraged everyone to be their best selves while uplifting her children's dreams. She worked hard to create and mold the legacy of her television program, Unveiling Africa TV, while also pursuing her

objectives. Christine was incredibly proud of her African background and put endless effort into showing the world what a stunning continent it was.

As the second-oldest of five, she was the foundation and backbone of the family, the bond connecting her loved ones. She loved her entire family and had grown up understanding the value and importance of education and a strong family unit. Christine was a fearless woman, immigrating to the United States at the tender age of 18 to establish her own roots.

Sadly, she was given a Stage 2 pancreatic cancer diagnosis at the beginning of June 2022. She and the family had great hopes for a full recovery, but the cancer progressed to her liver and became stage 4 as a result. She kept going to Chicago's Cancer Treatment Center of America every two weeks even after Memorial Sloan Kettering provided her with noncurative palliative care in the hopes of finding a better treatment plan.

Christine, our darling mother, wanted to fight like the true champion she was to the very end. She had so much faith in God to heal her through and through as she has survived worse in recent years. Just as she touched so many hearts and helped those around her, we would greatly appreciate any donations and prayers you can contribute to her funeral expenses and to the grieving family. We know she will always be smiling over us. Our loss is heaven's gain.
