Hello everyone, my name is Nila Suazo-Marino, and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my family and I, along with our beloved dog, Angel. About a week ago, my mom took Angel to the vet for a routine check up, thinking everything was going to be fine, that it was a regular checkup like how humans go for one. However, the outcome definitely had shattered our hearts and left us in tears. My dog Angel has tiny lumps in her stomach as a result from not being spayed right away from when she was in her younger years. The vet said to my mom that day that majority of the time, these kinds of tiny lumps are benign, meaning they are not cancerous. However, there is always that one small percentage that it can be cancer, but of course, we hope it is not because no family ever wants to hear that C word, whether it is a pet or a human being. We have already seen my sister Diana go through cancer treatments twice since she had relapsed at one point in her life, but thank god she is 10 years cancer free. However, when I done my research, it says female dogs receive these tiny lumps as a result of not being spayed, but once they are removed, they will be good as new as long as they are not something major. With that being said, we do not want to see our dog go through that because we for sure would all be nervous wrecks, and she is definitely something meaningful to myself and my family. She has gotten my family through a lot of rough situations, and has even gotten me through situations like a bad break up and even nights where I am up late doing schoolwork. She is always there at the front of the door to greet each and every one of us, and is always cuddled up on our beds through anything. The funds that my family and I receive from this fundraiser will be used towards paying for angels medical expenses for this time, which included the spaying process, and removing the tiny lumps that she has, along with medication, anesthesia, and so on and so forth. It will greatly be appreciated for us since angel is a part of our family, and is something very important to us. We will be sadly dropping her off at the vet on the morning of Wednesday, November 3rd, and will not be able to take her home until the next day, Thursday, November 4th. Until the time of November 4th, we will be keeping this fundraiser open. Whether it is $1 or anything that is received, we will be, from the bottom of our hearts, grateful for anything.
