Our Beloved Albert Esquivel

Hello everyone!!  Recently my father fell ill and went to seek medical attention. He had been feeling ill for a while and had been misdiagnosed, Fortunately he was finally admitted to the hospital but with a diagnosis of anemia. They did blood work and he ended up needing a blood transfusion and he received about 5 pints. This determined that he was losing blood internally somewhere. The medical team  ran tests and scans and found a 3 cm mass in his colon which was causing the internal bleeding. On January 31st he went in for surgery to remove the mass from his colon and lymph nodes and it was diagnosed as Stage III Colon Cancer.  After surgery he went into respiratory failure,  caught pneumonia and had to be admitted into the ICU. He was finally released from  the hospital about a week after his initial surgery and has been living with me while he recovers in Mojave. Our next step is to see the oncologist to find out what treatment he will need and more than likely it will be Chemotherapy. Our father is the most gentle, caring, compassionate, funny, and helpful person that we care for dearly and anyone that comes across him has always said the same. His friends from work created a Go fund me page for him, unfortunately it was shut down due to company policy. He has been part of the Biosense Webster team in Irwindale for 18 years and has made many friends that he now calls family. Our family decided to create a new page if his friends and family would still like to donate. He has not received any short term payment from disability so far so any little bit will help with his bills, medical bills and future treatments. Thank you very much and god bless.
