Our Beloved Abel

My brother was 39 years young when COVID took his life suddenly. Our family never had a chance to say proper goodbyes. We thought he was getting better but yesterday morning he left us, his wife, and their two young children, an 11 year-old son and a 5 year-old daughter. He was the kind of person that always made you laugh, made you feel warm, was welcomed and loved. My brother was and would forever be the light of our family and his friends. He was the one that always brought us all together, we gravitated towards him and many of us see him as a role model, including myself, because of his selflessness and kindness. We know that he is resting in peace now; but we will miss the carne asadas he used to make for everyone every week to celebrate something positive in life; we will miss the way he called us by the nicknames he had for everyone because that was his way of showing love. He was an amazing son, husband, father, brother and friend to all the lives he touched; he was an angel that God finally called back, and we believe that he is now our guardian angel. With his sudden passing, this is an incredibly tough time for his family and loved ones, we are mourning, and our hearts could not stop thinking about his wife and the 2 young children he left behind. Mi hermano tenía 39 años cuando el COVID se llevo su vida. \Nuestra familia nunca tuvo la oportunidad de despedirse como es debido. Pensamos que estaba mejorando, pero ayer por la mañana nos dejó a nosotros, a su esposa y a sus dos hijos pequeños, un hijo de 11 años y una hija de 5 años. Era el tipo de persona que siempre te hacía reír, te hacía sentir cálido, era bienvenido y amado. Mi hermano fue y será por siempre la luz de nuestra familia y sus amigos. Él fue el que siempre nos unió a todos, gravitamos hacia él y muchos de nosotros lo vemos como un modelo a seguir, incluyéndome a mí, por su abnegación y amabilidad. Sabemos que ahora descansa en paz; pero echaremos de menos las carnes asadas que solía hacer para todos cada semana para celebrar algo positivo en la vida; extrañaremos la forma en que nos llamaba por los apodos que tenía para todos porque esa era su forma de mostrar amor. Fue un increíble hijo, esposo, padre, hermano y amigo de todas las vidas que tocó; era un ángel al que Dios finalmente volvió a llamar, y creemos que ahora es nuestro ángel de la guarda. Con su repentino fallecimiento, este es un momento increíblemente difícil para su familia y seres queridos, estamos de luto, y nuestros corazones no podían dejar de pensar en su esposa y los 2 niños pequeños que dejó atrás.
