Our beautiful mummy Carla Jane Trimby

Our incredible mum was only 45 years old, yet she carried more strength, love, and grace than most could in a lifetime. Over the last six years, she faced five different cancer battles with unimaginable courage. No matter how much she suffered, she never let it change her. She remained gentle, selfless, and endlessly loving. She was our rock, our safe place, and the heart of our family.

She leaves behind five daughters, aged between 25 and just 6 years old, who are now facing life without their mum. She was also a devoted nan to three beautiful grandchildren, aged 15 months to 7 years old, who she adored more than anything. Her love for them was endless, and the bond they shared was pure and precious.

Throughout her illness, she was supported by her loving partner, who worked 14-hour days nearly every day of the week to provide for the family. When her health declined, he made the heart-wrenching decision to give up his work entirely to become her full-time carer. The love, care, and dedication he showed in her final years was nothing short of heroic, and we will never forget what he did for her.

In her final weeks, Mum was cared for with deep compassion and kindness by the wonderful staff at West Berkshire Community Hospital. The nurses there treated her with such dignity and helped bring comfort to her and all of us during the hardest days of our lives and for that, we are forever grateful.

Sadly, we weren’t financially prepared to say goodbye. As a family, we want to give Mum the peaceful, beautiful farewell she deserves a moment of love and honour for someone who gave everything to the people around her. Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to us and help ease the weight of this loss.
