Our Beautiful Momma Mari

Aloha Everyone. My name is Genevieve Ablayan but many of you know me as Native Pride Healing. I am Mari’s youngest daughter. I am so honored and privileged that I got to hold her in my arms, comfort and kiss her endlessly as she left this realm Tuesday evening February 27th, 2024 at 10:59pm. So grateful to be the one to help guide her back home. I told her over and over that I love her and chose her to be my mom in this lifetime. I was able to calm her down and let her know she wasn't alone. That I was right there with her and wasn't going anywhere. When her soul finally left her body, I got to bathe her, dress her, comb and braid her hair one last time. And I stayed by her side until she drove away. By far one of the toughest most beautiful things l've ever had to do and experience but I was there until her very last breath of life. The one who was there with me as I took my first breath of life. I love you momma. No more pain. Now she is free and we will miss her something fierce to say the least.

My two sisters and I never wanted to ask anyone for help in any way and the emotional support from everyone has been deeply appreciated, needed, and felt. Unfortunately, she didn’t have any life insurance or anything in place which of course would have made all of this much more easier to handle in terms of laying her to rest. She had some expenses that we still need to cover out of pocket and what we decided to do instead of an even more costly funeral, is cremate her a very specific way and have her turned into a redwood tree on the coastline of California, which is where we are all from. She had one in her yard growing up as a little girl, and used to climb it all the time, so we decided to go with this coming back full circle. Not as expensive as a funeral, but still costly and more sentimental. Since we are in Vegas, we would need to take even more time off of work to go have a personal memorial for her back home. Everything happened so quickly and we are still doing our best to wrap our heads and hearts around all of it. Anything that you may be able to give out of love and support, will be greatly appreciated and we deeply thank you beyond words. May it all come back to you Ten Fold. All our love to each and everyone of you. We Love You Mom and Deeply Miss You and Your Smile!!!
