Our Beautiful Beth's Story:
In late July this year (2019), after weeks of tests, scans, and biopsies, I received the shocking news that I have metastatic breast cancer. 'Metastatic' may be a term you are not familiar with - it means the cancer has spread, in my case to my lymph nodes and lung. Unlike early breast cancer, Stage 4 is not considered curable (within the limitations of Western medicine), and the survival statistics are poor.
As a mum with daughters aged only 2 and 5, this has been particularly terrifying. It's amazing how quickly a diagnosis like this changes your life priorities - my main goal now (if indeed I can't be completely rid of this cancer), is to have as much time as possible with Dahlia and Margot as they grow up.
My treatment (currently weekly chemotherapy) is ongoing, for as long as my body can handle it. I have the option of undertaking some ongoing monthly immunotherapy treatment which has proved helpful for my particular type of breast cancer, particularly if I commence as soon as possible. Unfortunately this is currently only available at significant cost. Other treatments may also become available at cost as new methods are tested.
Our family has been flooded with such amazing support right from the moment of diagnosis and we are so humbled and grateful. I have witnessed what true loving community looks like, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
This appeal is a way to help reduce the financial burden on our family so we can focus on my healing, and enjoying our time together, as well as providing funds to use on any private treatment that will improve my chance of kicking this cancer's butt!
Thank you so much for helping however you can. xo

Our beautiful Beth is a caring friend, a loving wife and an amazing mother of two gorgeous little girls.
Our goal is to raise $100,000 for Beth, Luke and the family to support the high cost of cancer treatment and the fundamentals they need to get through this awful illness and beat cancer forever.
Our ultimate goal is to provide Beth and the family with happiness and positivity, by lifting the weight of financial burdens and showing the love of many generous and caring friends, family and others who want to help any way they can.
