Tonight, my house was not a home. What started as a great day didn’t end as such. My beautiful 1 1/2 year coonhound Nala started vomiting at 3pm. What seemed to me like an upset stomach turned into an object being inside her intestines. My husband and I took her to the emergency vet and was hoping to be taking our Nala home. Unfortunately that was not the case. An emergency visit and an overnight stay was estimated to be around $1200 and up. Nala could not come home and had to be kept in the veterinary ICU. With hopes the object will pass, surgery may not be needed. Surgery can cost up to $5000. With myself only working part time and being a full time nursing student, the funds are out of reach. Nala makes us a family. She loves car rides and going to “Grandmas house”. She is my best friend and I am asking for any help you can give us.
