Hi, my name is Liv Forrest.

I am a member of the Northwest Powerhouse Weightlifting Club (based in Everton Hills), which is a not-for-profit club where you can learn Olympic Weightlifting, (snatch and clean and jerk). I started with Northwest when it opened in May 2024, and I competed in my first competition in December 2024. In May 2025 I competed at the Master State Championships and set myself some big goals. I have managed to achieve my goal of qualifying for the UMWF World Championships in Florida this December.

I can barely believe this is real! I am raising funds to help me get to the competition. Flights, accommodation, travel insurance, and competition entrance fees all add up substantially. This is an amateur competition, and I will receive nothing more than a medal if I place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. All money is sent to Northwest, and any extra money received will be used to help run the club, buy equipment, etc.

I would never have dreamed I could be an international athlete, but I am giving this amazing opportunity my all. I hope to represent my club, city, and country to the best of my ability. Can you help a local girl realise her dreams and represent you in a world championship event?
