Our Angel Devin

It is with a great sadness, but with great importance, that I set up this GoFundMe page to support my amazing cousin, Requel Pierce. Her baby boy, our beautiful Devin Malik Wilson, gained his heavenly wings on Monday, May 2, 2022.

Born with cerebral palsy, Devin’s doctors gave him a very short life expectancy. Our warrior proved them wrong. He lived a wonderful life being cared for by his amazing mom, dad, siblings, aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins. Devin loved his music and would rock out with anyone who wanted to dance with him. Even though he was non-verbal, you could always tell how he was feeling. His smile would brighten even the darkest room.

Once you met him, you fell in love with Devin, which is why this loss is felt deeply by his family and host of friends. We all thought Devin would be with us for many more years because he was such a fighter. Unfortunately, and unexpectedly, he was called to his heavenly home at the age of 26.

I ask that you join me in donating to help with funeral expenses. Every little bit will help. I’m in awe of my cousin who never left his side. She is the epitome of what motherhood is. I hope we will be able to help Requel and Devin’s village of caregivers and loved ones, celebrate his life with a homegoing service.
