Bernard Cushman, also known as Sonny, Grampie, Papa, passed away on January 3rd, 2020. Having lived a happy and fulfilling life, our family looks forward to celebrating the dedication, courage, hard work, and love he shared throughout his 72 year life.
As a man who touched the lives of every person he met, we can’t think of anyone who is more deserving of a spectacular gathering. Our family has been tasked with planning two ceremonies — one in Maine, and one in Florida.
My grandfather wasn’t a man who asked for much. In fact, he is known as being the most stubborn guy in town. However, in hopes of lifting the burden on my family, we are asking for financial assistance to help plan a celebration of his accomplishments with the precise detail that only he would expect.
All funds will be put towards funeral arrangements and a celebration of life. Excess funds will be used to install a bench in his name commemorating his service as a U.S. Army Specialist at Avow Hospice in Naples, and to assist our family in this difficult transition.
Words cannot express the gratitude and appreciation we have for our friends who have supported our family thus far. We are eternally grateful for any potential support.
