No child should have to face cancer — let alone face it twice.

Amelia, now almost 17, is once again fighting for her life after being diagnosed with a suspected aggressive Grade 4 brain stem tumour (DIPG). Because of the nature of this tumour, there are currently no treatment options available on the NHS. Surgery is not possible, and having already undergone radiotherapy to the same area as a child, her brain would not be able to safely tolerate further radiation without causing significant damage and impacting her quality of life.

This is a battle Amelia and her family never imagined they would be facing again. At just 5 years old, Amelia went through surgeries, treatment, and long hospital stays — yet even then, her strength, resilience, and quiet determination shone through in a way that still defines her today.

For over 10 years, Amelia was cancer-free and able to grow into the beautiful, strong, and truly magical young woman she is today — full of light, kindness, and a spirit that touches everyone around her.

Now, at an age where she should be enjoying life, planning her future, learning to drive, and making memories with friends, Amelia is back in and out of hospital, facing uncertainty that no young person should ever have to endure.

But Amelia’s story is not defined by fear — it’s defined by strength, belief, and the unwavering love surrounding her.

With no options available here, her family are exploring every possible path with hope and determination. There is the possibility of specialist, personalised treatments in Germany and Spain that could offer Amelia another chance — but these must be privately funded, along with significant travel and medical costs.

Alongside this, there is a deep focus on supporting Amelia’s body, mind, and spirit in every way possible. From a cancer-fighting diet and carefully chosen supplements, to holistic therapies designed to strengthen and restore her body — every step is about giving Amelia the best possible foundation to heal.

One of these therapies is hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), which increases oxygen levels in the body to support healing and recovery. Amelia’s mum is currently funding these treatments herself — from HBOT sessions to sourcing medications and support from abroad — but the financial pressure is immense.

This fundraiser is about more than just treatment — it’s about giving Amelia every possible chance. It’s about supporting her body, protecting her spirit, and allowing her family to focus fully on her care, her comfort, and the moments that matter most.
