Our 24 year old baby girl is fighting for her life

Our Alison is a compassionate, kind-hearted young lady, who is always willing to help others. Although her job is with the State of NC, she is also an EMT. Many of her family members are also a part of Emergency Services. After multiple antibiotics and steroids over a 2+ month period, Alison is currently reliant on a machine to help her breathe, because of an allergic reaction to a fungus, MOLD. Just last week, we were told by doctors to decide the day and time to remove her from the machine and let her go “home”. The decision was made and the night before it was to be done, God showed us a different plan! After many prayers from our family and friends in multiple states, God granted us the miracle for which we had been pleading. While Alison is NOT out of the woods, God gave us hope where we thought we had none. A nurse told us that each week she is hospitalized results in approximately one month of rehabilitation. We and many of our family and friends have been by her side every day. We (Mom and Dad) and Alison have full time jobs from which we are absent. The hospital is about 60 miles (one-way) from our home. When we can get a nap, we are using a room at the SECU Family House. We do have to pay per day/night for this room. Additionally, the expense for food, etc. is expensive, not to mention the medical bills that are sky-rocketing. We are in week 3 of this journey. We are so thankful for our family and friends, who continue to take care of our homes, pets, etc., while we are with our daughter. This fundraiser is being managed by a family friend to assist with all the expenses associated with this journey.
