Hello! Our names are Alexandria & Nathaniel Boden ( Allie & Nate) We are fundraising for our family our 15 year old son Blaze was diagnosed with leukemia on August 31st 2023. Prior to this diagnosis he had fallen after playing with some children over a fence took him to the doctor they said it was a pulled groin muscle it would get better the time had gone on and it did not get better so I took him back in they took an X-ray of his hip and found that he had neuropathy on his top right femur and his patellar tendon was not working the doctor ordered physical therapy and we went on our way. So then 2 weeks later I finally was able to get him seen by the physical therapist and she was concerned because of blazes posture at the time and his lack of patellar tendon she asked us to go into the emergency and get MRIs done. Two days later we went in to the ER and we were there from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. they did three MRIs and the MRI came back showing his spleen and liver were enlarged they prompted them to take blood the blood work came back as his white blood cell count was 300. THE DOCTOR CAME IN and started off with he has a hematoma on the inside of his right hip he then further said this is the part of my job I hate and said your son has blood or bone cancer and you will be life-flighted out of here in 45 minutes. My son and I were then my flighted to Boise Idaho and resided there for a week he was in Pediatric ICU then transferred to the Pediatric Oncology unit... He had a bone marrow test on 9/1/23. His hematoma is still present and they have to meet with radiology team to see what needs to be done. The hematoma is and causing a vascular necrosis to his femur head. He walks with a cane and is to go to physical therapy to try and regain the strength and the use of his patellar tendon.Blaze's spleen was the size of a 5month fetus and his liver was enlarged. His spleen has gone down to 11inches. He is still low on red blood cells. And possible blood transfusion . Blaze now has to take a Chemo pill daily. My husband was at home caring for our two younger children and my disabled brother. My husband had taken time off to have his hernia repaired so we unfortunately barely had an income as it is. So things are a little chaotic. We now have to travel 5 hours total for appointments and follow up scans one to two times a week. We only have one vehicle I am doing this fundraiser to hopefully get help for another vehicle and gas as I have to wait 45 to 60 days to be approved for reimbursement from insurance. And some bills we need to catch up on from having to use the money for gas. It has been a absolute crazy month and we are just still in shock. Anything and everything is greatly appreciated even a share and a prayer. Especially with winter coming and having to travel it is very stressful. We appreciate everything and everyone God Bless
