Ouch Family Matters

Hello, my name is Julie and I am promoting this GoFundMe for Sarah Ouch on her 33rd birthday to celebrate her life, and her journey toward healing and recovery.

Sarah has two daughters (my nieces Jayla & Danica), and Sarah has been battling thyroid disease. Upon unimaginable circumstances on December 25, 2020 Sarah was hospitalized for a severe stroke which also triggered other attacks throughout her body including fluid in her lungs, severe seizures, and heart & breathing problems. Spending several months on life support, one month of it being in a complete coma in the ICU on a pace maker and breathing tubes, with the help and assistance of the Doctors and Nurses - fighting for her life.

Sarah was later accepted at the Blueberry Hill Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, and has been living there day and night paralyzed without any ability to speak or walk, shower, or to move around on her own free will, because the stroke has left her in a crippling condition.

Sarah can breathe on her own now, but is completely dependent on her g-tube for nutrition/eating, needing someone to feed her, clothe her, clean her up, and is dependent on medication for trembling/seizures where she has uncontrollable muscle spasm.

Sarah spent over a year without seeing her daughters Jayla and Danica due to the pandemic, and mandate restrictions. Now that mandates have been relaxed, I have been able to bring my nieces to visit their mom when we get the chance to. Sarah remains at the rehabilitation center, and Sarah’s sister is enrolling Sarah into a program to further her therapy/rehab sessions and relocate her closer to their home. Sarah’s sister and I have been in close contact arranging for moral, mental & financial support. Sarah’s sister is doing her best, and has taken full responsibility of my nieces, on top of caring for her 3 children of her own, working and daily tendings, while Sarah is in the hospital/rehabilitation center.

My goal is to help Sarah & her sister with Sarah’s financial burdens which includes, but is not limited to her rehab fees, rehab equipment, therapy sessions, nutritional needs, medical, hospice, and home care expenses for Sarah and my nieces Jayla and Danica.

This is a traumatic time in my nieces lives, being teenagers and going through life without their mom by their side. They are trying to understand that their mom is going to be sick for a long time and balancing themselves; wanting to keep things as normal as they can to be able to enjoy their youth, being with their friends, school and just being a kid.

The road ahead of them is going to be long and rough. Taking some of the stress off of their hands financially, providing funds that will help create moments of distraction for my nieces to make some memories and enjoy their life as kids would be the best birthday gift I can help give to Sarah on her 33rd birthday.
