OUCE Mech Engg Class of 1997 Silver Jubilee

Hello, my fellow classmates,

In this year of our silver jubilee, we are striving to give back to our alma mater, the College of Engineering, Osmania University. This esteemed institution, steeped in history and tradition, has undoubtedly provided us with a head start in our lives and careers. The least we can do is give something back in return and hope that this legacy of giving in turn fosters further growth and innovation within the college. I encourage you to contribute, no gift is big or small, what is important is the thought behind the gift.

In terms of specifics, the initial idea is to set up the fund as a termed sinking fund. So for example, if we hit our goal of $20k or Rs. 16 lakh, we can use 1.6 lakh per year to be used as operational funds plus interest earned for a term of 10 years. The funds can be used to provide a scholarship or two or maybe to fund student activities ranging from Robotics competitions to the more fun/mundane such as youth festivals etc. We will work with the OUCE Alumni committee to designate a trustee and board which will ensure that the funds will be used to meet our specifications.
