Otto is more than just a pet to me. He’s my steady little shadow, the warm weight at my feet every night, the soft purr that has carried me through some of my hardest moments. He’s gentle and spunky in all the best ways and has a way of making even strangers feel like they’ve always known him.

A week ago, my world turned upside down. Otto was diagnosed with a brain mass. The symptoms came on quickly — moments of disorientation, trouble walking, and sudden changes that left me terrified. After urgent vet visits, tests, and scans, we learned what no pet parent ever wants to hear: Otto needs immediate medical care, and without it, we may not have much time left with him.

I’m doing everything I can, but the cost of diagnostics, medications, and specialty visits is more than I can manage alone. Asking for help is incredibly hard for me, but losing Otto without trying is even harder.
