Otto the very special kitten …

Donation protected

Hi everyone,

My name is Emma my cattery is Pride of Sandmead, I’m a cat breeder who is passionate & ethical my world revolves around my cats. Every kitten born is loved, cared for & I put them above me the way it should be. I am committed to my kittens & everyone who knows me see’s this a mile off, one look at any of my social media it’s obvious.

Otto is an amazing boy, a sweet loving soul. Who no matter where I am he is there. He is one of the biggest of the litter thriving in every sense. So it absolutely kills me to know one day this all might just stop & he might just stop thriving. He is an angel boy who I deeply adore.

He is now 11 weeks old, had his first health check & vaccine but he was born with a condition called Pectus Excavatum on one side of his chest — a congenital deformity of the chest where the breastbone grows inward instead of outward.

Sadly, without corrective surgery, Pectus Excavatum can worsen as the kitten grows, putting pressure on the heart and lungs and preventing them from living a normal, comfortable life. This might not happen due to it being one side, but I am not prepared to take the risk he deserves for me to fight & be his voice.

I have been referred to Paragon Veterinary Referrals, specialists in complex surgical cases. The initial consultation alone costs £330, and the surgery and aftercare will be significantly more.

I am fully committed to this kitten’s future and will be contributing a significant sum to cover half of the cost towards his treatment. However, with never ending weekly bills & price increases in all aspects I simply cannot cover the full cost alone.

As someone who pours their heart, time, and resources into their cats, asking for help does not come easily I feel like I’m opening myself up to the world! But because I love him this to me means doing everything possible doing everything in my power to help him.

The funds will be used for the surgery he needs, this is an internal splint. And for the aftercare.

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for helping give this little fighter the future he deserves.
