otter's panicked independence from abuse fund

Hey, I'm ottergauze. I typically go by otter. I hope you'll excuse me for not wanting to divulge much personal information, but I assure you it's for good reason.

I'm battling with an abusive household. I live (lived?) alone with my mother, and her actions routinely lead to me either feeling unsafe, or in some dire cases - such as the one I'm in now - I'm without a place to live.

Chances are that it will blow over, and thankfully I'm not completely up shit creek just yet. But this is a common enough occurrence to land me in situations where I'm often not sure where I'm going to sleep - sometimes for weeks at a time.

I can't really describe it as anything other than emotional abuse and manipulation. A mother that claims to love, but takes every opportunity to use that love as a bargaining chip when convenient. A mother that will willingly put her only child in a position of instability to vent her frustrations that have nothing to do with me.

So, this is me doing what I can to obtain some kind of safety net, regardless of if this blows over and I (inevitably) find myself on the streets in the near future, or if things get worse and I'm truly left fending for myself. The goal of this is funds solely to keep me off the streets when it comes to it, I'm able to stretch money pretty far.

Any support is appreciated, and I don't want to just take from people. I'll try to find a way to repay people for their generosity through whatever means I can.
