In 2014 my world came crashing down, my mum decided she didnt want to be in this world any longer. A day that I wouldn't want any other person to go through and a day that has changed mine and my families lives forever. Mental Health is so close to my heart and something I feel so strongly about. It is not an easy thing to live with and something that effects so many people daily and so many people that I care about.
It is ok to not be ok, its ok to not be positive all of the time and it is ok to have days where you want to stay in bed or not talk to the world..however always know there are people out there to talk to. I care, people care and you are loved, worthy and needed in this world. The day a loved one takes their own life is a day that will change the lives of so many others too. So many of my family and friends have had to go through the pain of losing loved ones to mental health. We need to raise more awareness and break the stigma of mental health. Whether you are a women, man, child, adult, its ok to cry, it is ok to ask for help. Also remember be kind.
Sadly last year one of my overseas friends Harry took his own life. Over my years overseas he will always be someone I will always remember. No matter how busy he was he always found the time to say hello and always had a smile on his face. A charity has been set up in his name to help give support to people when they need it and this will be one of the charities we are raising for.
My amazing friend Otis Gardner is getting on board and going to be doing this fundraiser with me. Sadly he has also had the pain recently of losing a close family member when his cousin Shaun took his own life.. Mental Health is so close to both of our hearts we wanted to help to raise some money for charities and spread some love and awareness.
After a year of such hard times for everyone we all need the support more than ever. Always check in on your friends. If you are reading this and you haven't felt great lately, you are amazing keep going and if you need to speak up and get help then that's ok too - people care . My inbox, door, phone is always open too.
We also understand that the year has been hard for some financially too. Even a few pound is appreciated. Every penny counts and we are so truly grateful. From the bottom of our hearts thank you..

A real short message from myself as Rach has summed everything up so perfectly, but here goes...
Mental health has always been something I have been massively passionate about, for the main reason that we all have mental health like we do our physical health.
It has to be said that it really does hit you hard when you lose someone so close to you, as within a second your world really does turn upside down. Loss can be defined as an amalgamation of feelings. These feelings can be difficult to comprehend and endure alone but having to witness those close to you go through the same scenario can be just as onerous.
But why now? I really don’t think there could be a better time to raise awareness of the need to speak up and speak out, simply because times are hard and life can be difficult.
If there is one thing I want to promote more than anything it’s...
We have no idea what’s going on behind a persons smile, so wouldn’t it be nice if we were all just kind to each other regardless?
