Help Otis Get Treatment

Hi there. My name is Averi and I’m raising funds for my sweet dog and best friend, Otis. Over the weekend, Otis was diagnosed with Addisons disease. For weeks now, we’ve been trying to figure out what was making him so sick. He wasn’t acting like himself, trembling, vomiting, and urinating way more than usual.

In the ER this weekend, he went into what is called “addisonian crisis”. An addisonian crisis is a life-threatening situation that results in low blood pressure, low blood levels of sugar and high blood levels of potassium. Otis spent more time in the ER than expected because of this.

He will be dealing with Addisons disease for the rest of his life but thankfully, it can be managed by daily medications and monthly injections.

Im asking for funds because this was very unexpected and I’m having trouble getting the money together to continue Otis getting the help he needs. Unfortunately, pet insurance won’t take Otis because this is considered a pre-existing condition, so there’s no way of getting financial help.

Anything can help, I’ve already spent 9,000 dollars on care

and I know it’ll be more in the future.
