Otis’ Femur Surgery
Donation protected
Hello, everyone. Our wonderful dog, Otis, who many of you have met, was hit by a car last night, and we found him laying in our driveway. He was unable to walk, dragging his back leg behind his body with part of his bone having punctured out of him. We do not know who hit him or why they didn’t stop, but we do know that they did not report it. After visiting an urgent veterinary clinic and receiving full service, it’s concluded that his back femur is snapped and requires surgery. The surgery will be far more than our budget allows currently. We won’t know which surgery he will be having until we meet the surgeon this week, but either surgery is estimated near $10,000. It will either be a repair or amputation.
For those who don’t know us, we are 24 and 25 years old. We have been fixing up our home since March, while also planning our own wedding next year. I hope that gives you a relative gauge of our financial status and why we would put together this gofundme. Oh, and most importantly, we love dogs so much!
We know firsthand how money can get tighter during the holidays, so we really do understand if you are unable to contribute! Even just sharing this where you see fit is appreciated.
Like I mentioned before, many of you have met Otis and have experienced how amazing of a dog he is.
Please know that anything you are willing to donate is extremely appreciated, and we thank you in advance!!
