Otis College Shut-Down Low Income Student Fund

Otis college students are dealing with a wide range of food and housing instability at this time. Otis is a small school which still receives its main income from the students (80%). There is currently a petition in circulation calling for a partial refund but with the reality of the school's financial situation that may not happen and will not happen quickly. The institution is also allowing students to apply for emergency funding and emergency housing but both are limited and there are no guarantees. 

Student leaders are attempting to offset the need by raising funds for students. We will be processing student need and allocating funds as best we can. We would like to cover most urgent needs (housing, food, medical) first and anything leftover will be evaluated and further disbursed to students. 

Our food pantry is closed. Many students do not have a place to go to and some are returning to volatile situations. Anything at this time helps.

We will be keeping record of how much money is going to individuals as well as their reason for need but all personal information will remain private amongst the 3 student organizers.
