Hi!

 

My name is Otis Blue and I will be 3 years old on Monday. My mommy noticed something wasn't quite right, and decided to take me to the vet. I was limping on and off and seemed to not be able to keep on weight. The vet took some of my blood and took some x'rays of me, but didn't really see anything. After resting at home for a few days, I started feeling really down in the dumps. My mom says I was running into things as if I couldn't see and stumbling from side to side. My eyes are sinking into my head, and my muscles are quickly disappearing. On top of it all, when I go out to potty, my pee is dark brown with the consistency of tar.

 

Mom is really worried about me and the amazing doctors and students at the University of Georgia are working hard to find out what is wrong with me as they are all stumped. They have me hospitalized here, and they are all taking great care of me until I can go home to be with my family! However, running all these tests is really expensive, but my mom wants to do everything she can to find out what is wrong and get me feeling better!

 

She says I am her baby and that she is going to do everything in her power to make me better. However, her friends and family want to take a bit of financial strain off of my families back.
