Hello My name is Emma and I’m fundraising for Otis.
Otis a 3 year old toy poodle dreamed of being a certified assistant animal for his mum, a pensioner who because of health complications relies on NDIS and support workers to remain in her home.
Unfortunately Otis’ dream will never come true because him and his mum were attacked outside of their home last week. His mum was bitten on the arm while little Otis had to be rushed for emergency surgery to save his life.
After pulling through surgery Otis is still not in the clear, needing another surgery to remove his right eye. This injury and subsequent surgery means Otis will not be able to become a certified service animal for his mum.
Furthermore, While Otis was fighting for his life his mum has reached council to investigate the animal who attacked her and Otis as it has a violent and vicious history in the neighbourhood. Police have claimed there’s “nothing” they can do even though Otis’ mum was also attacked by the other dog.
I have puppy sat Otis many times over the years and he has become apart of the family because he is the cutest, sweetest and most loved dog in the world.
However even though we love Otis more is needed to pay for his surgeries and vet bills. Donations made from this will be used to help Otis’ Mum pay for the two surgeries and further vet support needed while her precious pup is on the mend. Being on a pension Otis’ mum will struggle to pay these bills while also affording her own medical expenses.
Otis is crucial part of his mum’s well-being and any support will give her the best chance to get the best care for her beloved companion.
