Otak Holiday Giving Program - ORSWWA

It’s that time of year to reflect on how thankful we are and to pay those blessings forward. To that end, the Oregon (Portland) and SW Washington (Vancouver) offices decided to work with the Christmas Family Adoption Foundation again this year.

 

Christmas Family Adoption Foundation (CFAF) began in 2002 when its founder bought, wrapped, and delivered Christmas gifts to one family in his Oregon City neighborhood. More people joined his effort to help more families, and since the 501c (3) non-profit organization was established in 2010, it has delivered joy to more than 4,000 families in the Portland-Vancouver-Salem region. CFAF serves as a clearinghouse to connect families which have been nominated by social work entities with individuals or groups wanting to spread Christmas cheer.

 

ORSWWA will collect employee donations through this GoFundMe site until Friday, December 10. Otak will be matching employee donations up to $5,000! ORSWWA committee members will select CFAF families and go shopping the week of December 13. All Otak employees will be invited to a wrapping party at Otak Portland on December 17, and committee members will deliver gifts to the families the following week. Otak will serve as a clearinghouse for funds collected on GoFundMe, and will reimburse shoppers. ORSWWA committee members include Tina Ely and Judith Moses (OR), Tina Keller and Reena Keene (SWWA). Kim Miller will provide in-house communication services.
