OSU High Altitude Rocketry Team
Donation protected
The Oregon State University, High Altitude Rocketry Team (HART) is a collaborative interdisciplinary team of 30 mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineering and computer science students. The team is currently designing and manufacturing a two-stage rocket with a solid propellant motor and launching it to a target altitude of 150,000 ft at the Spaceport America Cup in June 2020. Achieving this goal would set a new altitude record for a collegiate rocketry team and is 5 times the altitude that typical commercial aircraft travel at.
All aspects of the rocket are student designed and the majority of the rocket is manufactured in house by team members. We mix our own propellant, machine our nozzles, layup carbon fiber fins, and manufacture the vast majority of components for the rocket.
We are raising money to help cover our travel and housing expenses that are necessary to attend the competition. While OSU, AIAA and the mentors involved with this project have been incredibly gracious is funding the construction of this rocket, we do not have a budget to cover travel expenses. We will be traveling to Las Cruces, NM from Corvallis, OR via car and staying staying there for 6 nights. Any donation you can make will make an impact on our team's ability to fully attend the competition.
Donations of all sizes are greatly appreciated, at the following donation levels the team would like to thank donors with the listed gifts.
$25 - OSU AIAA "Remove Before Flight" keychain.
$50 - HART mission patch and a keychain
$100 - HART t-shirt, mission patch and keychain
$500 - Name on Rocket (corporate or personal), signed team photo, t-shirt, mission patch and keychain
(Once donations have been received you will be contacted for delivery information for your gift.)
