Eben's Chemo Treatments and Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi there, we are a group of friends raising funds for Angela Cozzy and Luke Ostrander's eldest son, Eben, who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. Though the biopsy found it to be benign, 14 year old Eben and his family still have a long road ahead of them. Because of the tumor's location (basal ganglia, which effects motor skills) there is a high risk of paralysis and the neurosurgeons don't want to operate. Instead, he will be starting chemotherapy to shrink it. This huge roadblock has already started to affect Eben's daily life. He was ecstatic to hear that he can play football again once his skull heals from the biopsy, but the future is still unknown and symptoms will be compounding until his tumor starts to shrink. Treatments will last a minimum of two years and bills are already starting to pile up for the family. Travel expenses to and from the hospital, time off from work, and questions surrounding insurance coverage aren't issues any family should have to worry about. Angela is one of the most giving and caring individuals we have the pleasure of knowing. Many have reached out wondering what they can do to help, so here it is! Angela would never ask herself, but we know so many people who would love to contribute to help with their expenses. Full medical bills and related expenses are not yet known, but any extra money that is raised will be put into a fund for Eben's future.
Thank you to everyone who gives in any way they can.
