Oshkosh West Forensics Team Travels to Nationals!
Donation protected
Oshkosh West Forensics Team is headed to National Competition! Forensics is a competitive speech and drama activity performed solo or in groups. There are 6 students going to Washington DC for the NFCL competition from May 27-29 and 4 students going to Louisville for the NSDA competition from June 12-17. These are unexpected honors, so the team could use some financial support to help with the travel expenses for themselves and their coaches. Two students are choosing to miss their high school graduation to attend the competition! That's how important these events are to them.
With only 9 members, the Oshkosh West Forensics team is small, but they are a wonderful and supportive group. They have been working hard since December to get to this point. They have practice most nights of the week after school and competitions almost every Saturday from January to March. Throughout the season, they have all placed well individually and have won several team awards. At their state competition in Eau Claire a few weeks ago with 44 other teams, they had one 1st place, one 2nd place, and three 3rd place awards.
By making it to National competitions, they have to travel (flights are expensive right now!), stay, and eat at their destinations. Their club activity budget is small, so any help would be appreciated to support this team.
We are having an in person event on Friday, May 6th from 5-9pm. Come enjoy an evening of refreshments and entertainment. The team will be performing their award winning pieces throughout the evening. Event held at Copper Hall, 203 Otter Ave, Oshkosh, WI
