Osha's Emergency Surgery Bills
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Lian and I'm a single parent to my son, Dash, and a soon-to-be special education teacher, i.e., broke as a joke. On December 30, my nine month-old lab rescue, Osha, did *not* live up to her name and violated ALL safety and health precautions by scarfing up a small rubber ball that subsequently lodged itself deep in her intestines. Several overnights and one major surgery later, Oshie is back home with me and Dash, but my savings account is DOA. The money I spent providing Osha with the best care imaginable-shout out to Greenbriar Emergency Vet in Charlottesville!-was earmarked for bills while I student teach and finish classes at VCU, an unfortunately unpaid position. Her bill totaled almost $8,000, but I was able to put a quarter of that on a credit card; I'm hoping to raise the difference and put it back into my savings, so I don't have to push-back student teaching in order to work and save up again. Any amount is appreciated-your donation is not only going towards a really special puppy, but also helping a future educator get back on her feet, so even if you don't like dogs, maybe you love teachers? Thank you in advance for giving what you can, love Lian, Dash, and Osha
