Hello,
My name is Oscar Weeks, owner and operator of Oscar's BBQ located in Cisco, TX. In 2009 I was homeless, living in a tent in Northern, VA. I started Oscar's BBQ on the side of the road in Virginia after my living and employment situation improved. I now have a loving wife and we are expecting a child. The original Oscar's BBQ was a beloved staple in the City of Cisco for many years. I plan to continue the legacy and hope to pass it down to my children some day. I now have an extraordinary opportunity before me. On Mar 22nd, 2016 a food truck park was created in Abilene, TX. I have been working toward the purchase of the BBQ lunch trailer pictured below. I have been making plans to go mobile since before I opened my "brick and mortar" restaurant in Cisco as a primary and versatile means of income. The current opportunity presented before me has only reinforced and reinvigorated my passion for this BBQ trailer. The trailer itself is equipped with a two compartment BBQ grill, air conditioner, gas stove, microwave, 3 compartment sink, and restroom!
This trailer will not only allow me to join the food park in Abilene, but it will also afford me the benefits of attending other local fairs and events, as well as broadening our service area and customer base. This unit will also serve to preserve and enhance our restaurant in Cisco. The added income will allow us to afford much needed upgrades to the facilities and eventually the purchase of the property itself. The dollars invested will go toward the direct purchase of the trailer as well as city, county, and state jurisdictional licensing.
On to the incentives:
They are simple. The dollars invested in this campaign turn into dollar values in actual barbecue at any Oscar's BBQ location (be it the restaurant or food truck) in the form of gift certificates.
Gift percentage scale.
Pledges of $20-$200 = 50% return in gift certificates.
Pledges of $201-$400 = 75% return in gift certificates.
Pledges of $401-$1000 = 100% return in gift certificates
Bonus: Pledges greater than $1000 = 125% return in gift certificates.

As we make progress toward meeting this goal I will provide you with updates as well as insight as to what the big picture is through the use of videos.
