Oscar's Surgery and Treatment

We recently discovered that our beloved Oscar, a 12 year old Jack Russel-Chihuahua mix, has level 3 Sub-Cutaneous Mast Cell Tumor. The tumor is located on his neck, and in less than 2 weeks has grown to the size of a golf ball. The location is a dangerous one, as it is so close to the carotid artery, however our surgeon is confident that he can get good margins as the tumor doesn't appear to be too deeply embedded in the deeper tissues.
After the surgery, we will follow up with an oral chemo 3 days a week (not sure for how long). The surgery is $3500, and post op treatment is about $350/month. This is after the military discount which Coastal Vet Oncology has kindly discounted for us.
After paying for the vet visit, xrays, tissue samples, and the vetrinary oncologist visit and tests, and pain meds for Oscar, we have no other financial resources to cover his surgery.
We applied for CareCredit (a medical loan that is interest free for 6 months), but were not approved for enough to cover the surgery and post-op treatment.
Mike has been driving UBER after work and on weekends to raise funds for Oscar, and both Mike and I are filling our schedules to the maximum teaching lessons at our cooking school small business. We have not seen many of you for awhile because we are saving our pennies and staying home with the pups.
This may sound cliche, but Oscar is literally my best friend; he has been there for me through the TDY's and long deployment last year while Mike was in Afghanistan, the multiple moves, new cities...Oscar is the one constant throughout my military spouse life, and I cannot imagine my life without his comfort every day.
We humbly ask for any assistance you can give, even if you sign up for a lesson with our biz, order custom cookies, need help moving stuff. Anything we can do to help cover the cost of his surgery would help.
Oscar is scheduled for surgery on April 19th. Please help us get him through it.
