Oscar Silva “Papi Elefante” Funeral Expenses

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Dad, Oscar Silva, on August 16, 2023 in Colombia. We’ve worked hard over the past few years to cover our Dad’s medical expenses and we are overwhelmed with gratitude to all who have made donations, listened, and sent kind thoughts. It is difficult to ask for support when we are grieving such a sudden loss.

As some may know, Oscar, our affectionately nicknamed ‘papi elefante,’ courageously battled Parkinson’s disease and lumbar nerve damage, which depleted our family’s resources.

 If you can, we kindly request donations to help alleviate the financial burden related to our father’s passing. Our objective is to raise $5,000 to cover the funeral expenses in Colombia and logistical matters. Any contribution, regardless of size, is sincerely appreciated.

Our father was a man of boundless kindness, generosity, selflessness, and humor, always prioritizing others above himself. He toiled tirelessly to provide for his family, ensuring we lacked nothing during our upbringing. His absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew him. We are grateful for your assistance in ensuring he receives the dignified farewell he deserves.
