Oscar Parker - final expenses and last wishes

Donation protected
On Sunday, May 15th, my brother Oscar died tragically and unexpectedly from a motorcycle accident.

Oscar was one of the kindest and most giving people you could ever meet. He would give you the shirt off his back if he could and was known for bringing home all the strays from the shop he worked for over 20 years. He loved to laugh, play guitar, ride his motorcycle, work on cars (he was a master mechanic) and play with his dog, who was his constant companion. His laugh was contagious, and his love for his family and friends was unmatched.

Oscar left behind his wife of over 30 years and high school sweetheart when he passed, and unfortunately, a dire financial situation.

Although Oscar was one of the hardest workers you will ever meet, the last few years were especially hard on them. He had no life insurance, no savings, was living pay check to pay check, and has a mortgage on a mobile home that is falling apart.

Our family has rallied together to cover the funeral and other immediate expenses as much as we can, but there are much larger issues looming that despite our best efforts we are not able to provide for by ourselves, so we are reaching out for help.

We know Oscar's only concern and wish would be to make sure that his wife was taken care of. He loved her with all his heart.

My sister-in-law has no job, and has not been able to work for several years. She is now living in a home that is falling apart alone, with no means of income and no way to pay for her bills or her mortgage. We are asking for help so she will be able to cover expenses until she can determine her best options and hoping that we can raise enough to cover her mortgage for several months, if not completely pay it off so she will no longer have to worry about having this taken from her so soon after losing her husband and father to their daughter. Even if we can pay off her mortgage, the mobile home she is in will have to be replaced, but we can't do that until she has the current mortgage paid off due to the land being tied in with the trailer. It's a difficult situation to say the least, but she can't continue to live in a home that is literally leaking and coming apart.

Since both my husband and sister-in-law Benita loved animals, they have provided a home for several over the years and now have numerous pets that she must care for as well without a means to do so. We will be working on a plan for the animals as well once our family has had a chance to lay Oscar to rest, but I know the cost of feed and medications for them is large.

If you can find it in your heart to help us honor what we know would be my brother's final wish, please do so. No amount is too small, and we would be forever grateful to you for any help you could provide.

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will not exist any more–or mourning, or crying, or pain, for the former things have ceased to exist.
