It is with an extremely heavy heart that we have had to say goodbye to our Superhero Oscar Leo. Our boy, our son our inspiration.
I'm raising for funeral/memorial in honour of our beautiful boy Oscar Leo McAllister.
Oscar was born on the 25th of August 2014.
Shortly after oscar was born he was rushed to PICU as he became unexpectedly unresponsive. Oscar spent the next 6 weeks in PICU.
after lots of tests, hospital appointments, and years , Oscar was finally given a diagnosis when he was a few years old.
Oscar was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called GABRG2 mutation which causes epilepsy/siezures.
During Oscars first few years doctors would give a prognosis of him not being able to live past infancy. However Oscar proved them wrong and carried on proving health professionals wrong. Oscar was certainly a stronge little boy.
Year by year Oscar continued to fight.
Oscar was severely disabled.with multiple health conditions He had lots specialist equipment. He had an NG tube and later he was given an PEG (feeding tube into his stomach)
Oscar’s condition meant he was more susceptible to infections. If he was to catch a common cold this would sometimes lead to a hospital admission and fighting for his life.
In 2020 when the pandemic hit Oscar was high risk . So his family safe guarded him and protected him.
Over the years Oscar was admitted to hospital on numerous occasions and Doctors managed to stabilise him. He has been on life support a couple of times. But has always pulled through like the fighter he is.
For almost 11 years Lauren and Ollie have been Oscar’s parents & carers.
They have done so much and gone through so much it’s hard to imagine or begin to explain.
On the 25.05.2025 Oscar sadly left us.
This day had happened so many times but he always came back.
The pain, the grief is like nothing we have felt before. Oscar was everything to his mummy.
Oscar leaves behind his mummy, Daddy, little Sister Olivia and big brother Charlie.
Oscar was the best , our little hero. He deserves the very best send off
I appreciate any support and thankyou for reading.
Oscar Leo is finally at peace, forever sleeping. Always with us. Our beautiful boy.
As a family, loosing him has left a huge hole in our hearts. As his parents we're completely devastated and broken, heartbroken.
Our aim here is to raise money to put towards Oscar's funeral and if possible a memorial for our little soldier.
As his passing happened so suddenly we have been left completely unprepared and we would as a family sincerely appreciate any help that was available and donated.
Thank you all so much in advance.
This will all go to Oscar.
